Overview
Industrial engineers are uniquely trained from the total system perspective to practice as system integrators, cross-functional trainers, and change facilitators. In addition to engineering training, Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics (IEDA) also emphasizes strategic issues, integration, and customer-orientation.
To further deepen knowledge of the IEDA field, the Department offers both research and taught postgraduate programs. Research programs leading to a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree are available while the Master of Science in Engineering Enterprise Management (MSc-EEM) enhances business understanding and management techniques for professionals from a technical background. Full-time and part-time options are available. Part-time students can normally take a maximum of eight credits (two courses) per semester.
