Industrial engineers are uniquely trained from the total system perspective to practice as system integrators, cross-functional trainers, and change facilitators. In addition to engineering training, Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics (IEDA) also emphasizes strategic issues, integration, and customer-orientation.

To further deepen knowledge of the IEDA field, the Department offers research programs leading to a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Full-time and part-time options are available.
